A young man on Madison's West Side needs reliable staff for awake overnights, is this you?
This young man experiences life with Autism, which causes him some trouble communicating, but he doesn't let that stop him from living a full, active life! He works part time with the support of his day staff, and is eager to return to his regular activities when it is safe to.
Important things to know about him: He is Indian, and is Hindu. His culture is very important to him, and you might hear him speak some of his native language (Kannada) mixed with English at times. He loves Indian music, dance and movies, and likes to help prepare certain easy Indian meals. Sometimes he goes to Temple with his family. His family is very involved in his life, and they have Zoom meetings a few times a week. This gentleman thrives on a strict routine, and it is really important for staff to realize this. A routine helps him stay regulated.
Overnight staff are expected to help him use the restroom and practice good hygiene, as well as help with light housekeeping as needed.
